On October 7, 2021 a young cowboy left this earth, his name was Hairy (Josh) Harrer. Josh was only 27 years old but had put a lifetime into those 27 years.
Josh was of the belief that you were put on this earth for a certain number of days and his reasoning was that you should live life to the fullest
while you were here. He grew up in the western lifestyle. From an early age he was fast and furious. It made no difference if he was on a stick horse, a real horse or bicycle.
Josh loved to rodeo, competing in dogging, calf roping and team roping. Later in life he found he loved ranch rodeos. He became an accomplished bronc rider and enjoyed every other event.
Josh worked on numerous norther Nevada ranches where he learned from each and every cowboy that he worked with. His love for cowboying and making a good horse grew every day.
Josh always met you with a huge smile and a handshake or a huge hug, even
if he didn’t know you .
He was a wild and free spirit. Even though he isn’t here with us he is watching us and
is hoping we celebrate his life, not mourn that he is gone.
Ride into the sunset, drink a cold one and enjoy life to it’s fullest.
